- Biodegradable or compostable food packaging bags specifically designed to contain loose food items (restrictions may apply)
Fines and Enforcement:
The Dubai Municipality is responsible for enforcing the ban. Violations can result in fines of AED 200 (approximately USD 54) for businesses that continue to provide single-use plastic bags to customers.
