Dubai’s Single-Use Plastic Bag Ban – A Paradigm Shift

Dubai’s commitment to environmental sustainability took a significant leap forward on June 1, 2024, with the implementation of a comprehensive ban on all single-use plastic bags. This policy applies to all retailers, restaurants, and businesses within the Emirate, regardless of the size or type of establishment. Understanding the Regulations: The ban encompasses all single-use bags with a thickness of 57 micrometers (0.057mm) or less.
